Most companies have strict policies on drug addiction treatment and substance abuse. Those that try to impose strict measures on their anti-drug addiction campaign have revised their employment policies to include the clause that stipulates that any employee who is proven to be guilty of substance abuse may be terminated from their job or be subjected to suspension wherein they will be referred to a drug addiction treatment center. This is a good move to encourage employees to be drug-free and at the same time make them aware of the negative effects substance abuse can have on their lives, career and overall well-being.
